Based on surveys, studies, information, National Contact Points’ reports and other sources (Eurostat, Frontex, EASO, FRA, IOM, UNHCR, OECD, etc.) the European Migration Network publishes different documents analysing individual areas which are the subjects of the discussions for the sessions of National Contact Points and the European Commission. The purpose of EMN documents is to inform the drafters and policy makers on the EU and national level on certain problems and open questions concerning the implementation of EU policies and legislation.

For every Member State every year it publishes a special general document, so called Country FactSheets which presents the latest information on the most important policy and legislation novelties concerning migration and asylum including the latest statistics. The document is used as a background in the discussions within the activities of various working groups of the EU Council, European Commission, and European Parliament and during EU sessions with other partners.

For specific subjects for discussions on migration and asylum (such as circular migration, family reunification, return, unnacompanied minors, students, etc) it publishes the so called document EMN Informs which presents the results of analyses and findings acquired through various EMN documents (national reports, statistical reports, AHQs). The purpose of EMN documents is to inform the drafters and policy makers on the EU and national level on certain problems and open questions concerning the implementation of EU policies and legislation.
